This Saturday, psychadelic southern rockers The Bright Light Social Hour and Walker Lukens will be headed to Fitzgerald’s. Both bands hail from Texas and have some serious credentials under their belts in their relatively young music careers. TBSH won six awards at SXSW 2011 Austin Music Awards, including Band of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. And they have performed in front of thousands at festivals like Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.

“In the past two and half years, Walker Lukens has released two EPs, an album, a 7 inch and played some 130 shows in four countries and 25 states.” He’s also had wonderful words said and written about him from “NPR’s All Songs Considered, American Songwriter, Billboard, MTV Hive, and Houston Chronicle.” (via his Bio) If you browse around his website enough, you’ll see just how creative an artist he is, and not to mention talented. This is a show you definitely want to circle twice on your calendar! Just take a listen and you’ll see! Oh, and get pumped pre-show with a free, live set from Walker at Cactus Music from 3-4pm that afternoon. (You’re welcome.)
