Keep Calm Fight Cancer _ Sept 6-8 _ Pam Robinson BenefitThere is a three day music fundraiser happening this weekend at Walter’s Downtown benefiting the owner, Pam Robinson, who is currently fighting a recent diagnosis of Stage 4 Cancer. She has shown Houston time and time again that she is ready to support and promote bands and artists, even when others won’t. Articles speaking of her dedication to the Houston music scene have been written in The Houston Press, Free Press Houston, The Houston Chronicle quoting Pam and bands involved. Simply said, the support in Houston for Pam is undeniable. Just read the quotes on the overall facebook event. So, I think when you think about events coming up this weekend, this one HAS to be on the top of your list. Each day is counted as a round: Friday – Round 1, Saturday – Round 2, Sunday – Round 3. And each round (day) has a ticket price of $10. 100% of the ticket and silent auction proceeds go to helping Pam with medical costs.

The lineup for each day is pretty incredible and goes to show that she has some serious support behind her. Pick a day and make it out; you won’t regret it. Sidenote: If getting punched in the face (not really…but kinda) while you mosh out to some music isn’t exactly your thing, then Friday is a good pick for you. If you like a rough and tumble night out, Saturday and Sunday have your name on it.
