Sundance is coming to Houston! After months of planning and building, the doors are opening to the public on Wednesday, November 23rd. For those that can’t wait (like me), a special Grand Opening Benefit will be held Monday, November 21st from 5:30pm to 10pm, with a movie showing at 8pm. Tickets are $25 with proceeds benefiting  The Museum of Fine Arts and the Houston Cinema Arts Society ($5 discount if you are a member of MFAH or HCAS!)

The Sundance Cinema steps up the Houston movie experience with extra comfy seating, an art gallery featuring local artists and perhaps best of all, reserved seating! No more wondering if you’ll find 3 seats together, or if you’ll get stuck in the front row of the theatre. The bar and food menu has everything from beer to champagne, popcorn with real butter, gourmet hotdogs or ice cream…all of which you can carry with you from the bar to the theatre. Oh, and did I mention that they validate parking? It’s like a movie fanatic’s dream come true! See you Monday!

Tickets (while they last!) can be purchased here.
