Jenni’s Noodle House is one of the most active restaurants I have seen in Houston. They connect with Houston socially and creatively and continue to amaze me! Tonight, they are bringing back a great event that I can’t wait to attend! From 5-10pm, you have the chance to be waited on by a Houston Celebrity in the film making scene! These local stars are stepping out from behind the camera and up to your table. That’s right, they will be your waiters and waitresses! All tips raised during the event will go directly to The Aurora Picture Show, a non-profit here in Houston that loves to connect Houston to amazing, non-commercial short films and videos. So, who’s going to be there you ask? None other than:

5PM Melissa Tran – Former Aurora Intern, Flickerlounge Artist, Winner of Extremely Shorts Film Festival
5PM David Purdie – Winner of Extremely Shorts for “Galvest-Gone!” and Finalist for ”AstroWhirled”, Filmmaker
6PM Stephan Hillerbrand – Boot Camp instructor, UH Faculty, Collaborator/husband to Mary Magsamen of Aurora
6PM Camilo Gonzalez – Aurora Picture Show Media Arts Instructor
7PM Alfred Cervantes – Houston Film Commission
7PM Gina Rodriguez Miller – Aurora Board Member, Employee of Culture Pilot
8PM Sorcha Landau – Aurora Board Member
8PM Rachel Blackney Tepper – Aurora Picture Show Associate Director
9PM Alex Luster – Filmmaker “Stick Em Up!”
9PM Craig Hlavaty – Houston Press Rocks Off

We all have to eat, but we don’t always get a chance to help out a local non-profit at the same time. Join me tomorrow at Jenni’s Noodle House in the Heights: 602 East 20th Street @ Oxford.
