This week’s #FridayFinds features DJ Day. He’s headed to Houston this weekend and will be playing a DJ set at The Flat, the premiere spot in Houston for incredible music. Day is also a producer and created the Innernational Crew with DJ Rip One back in 1995. Almost 20 years ago. He’s worked with Aloe Blacc, Clutchy Hopkins, Quantic (who just played Houston and The Flat last month), Alice Russell and People Under the Stairs (love them!) to name a few. He’s toured with the likes of Amy Winehouse and Eminem and set foot all around the world. And, he’s a Red Bull Music Academy artist.Oh, and his single “Four Hills” has been nominated for “Track of the Year” by Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide show on BBC Radio 1. Sounds like he’s a hard working, incredibly talented artist. Wouldn’t you say? And, those are my favorite kind.
