#FPSF Interview: Electric Touch
Electric Touch, the American Rock+British Punk infused band played Free Press Summer Fest this year with the amount of energy they attribute to everything they do. These boys have a fun-spirited, hard working, rockin’ vibe that is captivating and their intense fan connection proves it. Shane, Christoper, Louis, Isaac and Portland reach out to their fans in all ways possible: twitter, facebook, social cam, and soundtracking.
To prepare for their gig at Summer Fest, they did what every fan wants: asked the fans what they wanted to hear. Requests came rolling in through twitter and facebook and bam: they had their set list. When asked about their hopes for their set, they responded, “hopefully it’s a little more of a journey.” With older songs being woven in with the newer releases, their set would show the path they have taken as a band. When it comes to social media, the Electric Touch rockers go all in. This means your tweet to @ElectricTouch may get answered by every single member of the band.
Talking with them about their expectations from the crowd at Summer Fest, the boys emphasized that their songs follow a rollercoaster of honest and real emotions around experiences that their fans have likely also felt. This connects them together. They share the same destiny. Electric Touch plays to their fans in a way that allows them to forget everything negative from the day, the week or the year. And hopefully with their 7:30pm time slot, they won’t walk away saying, “I couda watched the Simpsons.” And trust me, no one was saying that.
